ELA/SOCIAL STUDIES:
We have just completed our first week in Unit II of our Reading Street Series and the students really showed just how much they knew about communities by starting with their very "own" community... Their family!
We talked about how they live and work together with their family every day and the many ways in which they can show they are a Feinstein Jr. scholar at home as well as in their daily lives.
This week our focus will be how we create a community within our very own classroom! I'm very excited to see just how they all work together to solve the big question. ;) How do we learn together at school?
MATH:
This week we are continuing to work on measurement of varied objects, exploring and representing data with a bar graph, collecting survey results to do so, and exploring more with shapes and base-10 blocks.
