I hope everyone had the chance to celebrate all that they are thankful for with their family and friends during our Thanksgiving break! I certainly did miss all the smiles that I have grown fond of seeing every morning!

Please come to help celebrate the spirit of the season of giving with your fellow classmates and peers! Mayor Dumas will be our guest of honor and will read to the children! It should be a wonderful evening of fun!

Our week in learning:
READING STREET/SOCIAL STUDIES:
At the completion of our very special research and writing project on varied habitats as well as the animals and plants that live there, we are returning to our regular schedule for our Reading Street Series. We are starting Unit II on Communities. This week we will be starting our journey to learn about what defines a community and how a community works together to accomplish great things. **Please check your child's homework packet for the attached skills to practice. :)
MATH:
We will be starting Unit 4 in our Everyday Math program and will be practicing measurement of length for this week in nonstandard units, comparison of 2 objects, and identifying the best unit of measurement to use.
